Camp Granite Lake is a 135-acre private camp in the foothills of Colorado where campers live in a supportive, un-plugged community. Campers are given the autonomy to choose their own activities, the opportunity to connect with people and natural world around them, and live with peers and counselors, who are committed to their social and emotional growth. Many of the campers who attend Camp Granite Lake are from the Colorado Front Range, including Denver, Stapleton, Boulder, Aurora, Colorado Springs and Fort Collins.
Staff are the ingredient that make a Camp Granite Lake experience so special! All of our staff are 19 years of age and go through a rigorous application and interview process, as well as a full week of staff training. They are chosen for their ability to build supportive, inclusive communities, and are committed to serving as mentors and role-models for our campers.
Our programs place an emphasis on choice, and give campers the opportunity to try out many different activities in a supportive, non-competitive, and un-plugged environment. Campers can experience the ‘classic’ camp activities, including rock climbing, archery, hiking, backpacking, nature & ecology, and more! Our private 8-acre lake is unique for a camp in Colorado, and we make the most of it with kayaking, stand up paddleboarding, canoeing, fishing, and sailing. Our arts program provides a well-rounded experience for campers, with activities such as ceramics, crafts, dance, woodworking, music, culinary, and theater. Needless to say, there is a lot to do!
Thank you! Your activity guide is on its way!
