The Denver Juniors spent the last day of bird week at Morrison Nature Center. Two of the cabin groups went creek stomping, where we saw lots of cool rocks, some moss, and even a frog!

We saw birds flying so high that we couldn’t tell what they were. During an educational program by the Center staff, we used binoculars to look for birds. We found a feather from a Northern Flicker and even a woodpecker nest!

Back at Base Camp, we stayed inside because of thunderstorms moving through the area. We listened to a story and finished our last crafts for the week- everyone has made a bird mask!

We learned to sing Peanut Butter Reese’s Cup and to play Giants, Wizards, Elves today.

Enjoy the rest of your summer!
