It’s Opening Work Weekend!

Please join us for a weekend of good-old-fashioned-be-outside-get-dirty-work for members of the Camp Granite Lake Community. Meals and housing will provided, and we ask that everyone comes ready to help us open up camp. If you don’t know how to hammer and drill, you can still help out cleaning, mopping, and sweeping off the winter’s dirt.

Some of the Weekend Tasks include:

  • Cleaning and setting up the “Big Kitchen”
  • Building Benches
  • Opening up buildings
  • Setting up platform tents for crafts, ecology, and ceramics
  • Painting (indoor and outdoor)
  • Setting up Teepees
  • Putting up our Dining Hall tents
  • Building new docks

All food and housing is included – you volunteer to help, we feed and house you!

Dates: Friday, June 2 – Sunday, June 4
You can come for the day, or stay for the whole thing from Opening Welcome Snack to Closing Thank You Snack!

At camp in Coal Creek Canyon! 11902 Camp Eden Road, Golden, CO 80403. Map Link

Who Helps:
We expect Camp Families, partner user groups members, people from the local community, and more to show up!

Children under 15 can help, but should be under the supervision of a parent at all times. Tasks will be assigned with age-appropriateness in mind. If we reach certain work milestones, we may open the lake to fishing or boating.
