Welcome (back) to camp! We spent today at NCAR, learning about this week’s theme, Wild Wild Weather. We saw a tornado forming, the swirling of winds and currents around the Earth, and played with lightning. Because of the hot hot weather, we were sure to drink lots of water and apply lots of sunscreen. We learned the rules of camp and made our own group codes to follow. We ate lunch in the shade of some pine trees. When we got back to Base Camp, we heard a story about how aliens learn about Earthlets’ weather. We talked about what kind of day we had (cloudy, stormy, sunny, etc.), ate snack, and then it was time to go. What a quick day! We’re excited to sing more songs and play more games tomorrow at Chautauqua.
