The Denver Juniors spent a cool day at the Refuge today. We sang Tarzan and the Princess Pat before we played Headite tag.
The highlight of our day was playing Find the Counselor. We tracked Sarah all the way around the lake–and back! We looked for things like footprints, pipe cleaners, broken sticks, and stuff she left behind, like her water bottle. We found her both times! We also did a bug scavenger hunt and looked at all the insect exhibits inside the contact station.
Back at base camp, we played poison dart frog, wrote our group code, listened to a story about a spider (not a bug!, but an arthropod) and snacked. As always, we sang On Top of a Spaghetti before going home!
