Ian started as a cabin counselor in 2022, was the Assistant Program Director in 2023, and is so excited to return for his third summer as the Rainbow Trout Village Director. He’s originally from Chicago and loves spending his summers in the mountains of Colorado! When not in school for English Education, Ian loves going on backpacking trips with friends and trying to find the perfect chocolate chip cookie recipe. He’s looking forward to Singo night, popping into the ceramics tent, and seeing all of the faces of camp, old and new!

Hey! I’m Josh Grant and this will be my TENTH summer up at camp! I’m reprising my role this summer as a mega counselor and Counselor In Training (CIT) Coordinator! During the year, I’m a bestselling author, comic creator, video game designer, card game designer, and now movie producer (whew!)! I’ve had a pretty crazy life having survived a flash flood, serving as first officer on a sailing ship in the Atlantic, and having several close encounters with bears, but I’m actually a pretty down to Earth guy and just love getting together and laughing with people. I absolutely love our little camp family and can’t wait to see everyone this summer! We’re going to have a blast building some forts, being pirates on the lake, launching some rockets, doing some skits, and eating smores! 🙂

My name is Lydia! This is my first year at camp granite lake and I am a student at Ball State University studying Environmental Geosciences. I travel a lot mostly to North Carolina and the Great Lakes of Michigan and of course my second home the Smokey mountains in Tennessee. I have been rocking climbing for 3 years top, lead, and bouldering. I am really looking forward to meeting everyone, both staff and kiddos, and can’t wait to share the magic of the outdoors! Hi my name is Grady and this will be my first summer at Camp Granite Lake. I’m from Bowling Green, Kentucky, but I will be starting my first semester at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in the fall. I am an avid rock climber here at my local climbing gym where I also work as a youth coach and route setter. I couldn’t be more excited to be a counselor this summer!

Hi! My name is Linds and I am from Miami, Florida. This will be my 3rd summer at CGL and I am so excited to be back! I am currently getting a bachelors degree in Elementary Education and plan to be done this fall 2024. I love dancing, cooking, and spending time with friends and family! I am working in an elementary school as the Welcome Center administrator but also work in the afterschool program. I really am so excited to be back and meet new people and see returning staff as well! I am also looking forward to meeting new campers and seeing those who are returning! Hi my name is Jack and this will be my first year as a counselor. I have been a camper at Camp Granite Lake my whole life, so I’m thrilled to take on this new role. Currently, I’m pursuing a degree in electrical engineering at the University of Colorado. I was born and raised in Boulder so I love spending time outdoors, mountain biking and backpacking in the summer, and snowboarding in the winter.
