IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENT POLICY:
(Non-Covid Immunizations) Camp Granite Lake requires campers and staff to be FULLY immunized (per Colorado School Guidelines) before camp begins. Campers and staff with medical exceptions may be allowed at camp with documentation from their physician.
We are sorry, but religious and personal exemptions will not be accepted.

MEDICATION POLICY:
To be fully compliant with Colorado Childcare Licensing rules, we require ALL medications to be signed off by a physician on our form. This includes prescription medications AND vitamins, supplements, and other over-the-counter medications taken on a regular basis.
We will have on hand basic as-needed over-the-counter medications, such as acetaminophen, ibuprofen, pepto-bismol, hydrocortisone etc. for the medical team to administer when needed.
When campers are dropped off, we will not be able to accept any medications that are not already signed off by a physician.

COVID VACCINATION & TESTING POLICY:
We recognize that fully immunized children may not get Covid vaccinations. While current Covid vaccines continue to provide strong protection against severe disease, their ability to prevent infection has been greatly diminished by the current Covid variants.
We VERY STRONGLY recommend campers be up-to-date on Covid vaccines at the start of camp, but we will not be requiring Covid vaccination for campers in 2025. (All staff members may still be required to be up-to-date with their Covid vaccines).
Depending on the nature of the Covid situation, and in coordination with area health departments, we MAY still require the following:

  • camper Covid testing, at home, 24-48 hours prior to their arrival to camp, with results submitted to Camp Granite Lake
  • camper Covid testing upon arrival and/or while at camp

DIET / SPECIAL DIET POLICY:

As diet restrictions get more complex, we need parents & campers to understand what the camp kitchen can serve.
Please note: We can accommodate some diet restrictions and allergies, but not all of them. Most of our meals have animal-based proteins (eggs, chicken, beef, for example) and dairy (milk). We offer a salad bar for campers with special diets and regular diets.
Vegetarians (for example: no meat, no red-meat, no fish) will have the ability to skip the animal-based protein, have access to a salad bar, and/or be offered the vegan option for that meal.
At meals where dairy is a core ingredient and can’t be served separately, dairy-free campers may be offered the vegan option.
Vegan options are available.
Campers who are gluten-free will be informed of the gluten-containing foods to avoid, and may have access to a salad bar or gluten-free option.
If any of the following are true, please contact us before filling out this application:

  • your camper(s) have any combination of these diets, like gluten-free AND dairy-free, or gluten-free and vegan; we are likely unable to accommodate your camper(s)
  • your camper(s) have an anaphylactic sensitivity to any food
  • your camper(s) have any sensitivity to soy or tomatoes
