All of the Junior campers hopped on the bus this morning and headed to NCAR with the rest of camp. We got off the bus, put on our sunscreen and headed out on the weather trail just west of the buildings. After checking out all of the weather stops, we headed into the outdoor courtyard to eat our lunches. We headed inside after lunch and got to check out all of the cool weather-related science displays including a tornado, a lightning tube, and some interactive displays on storm formations.
It was time to head back on the bus to Whittier. When we got there, we ate a snack and drew pictures of our experience today at NCAR. After the craft, we played “Poison Dart Frog,” which was so fun that the campers wanted to skip stories and continue playing. Then we ended the day with our “Meatball” song!
