What an exciting day we had at camp! We spent our morning in Eldorado Canyon, where we joined the older campers for songs and a few rounds of What Time Is It Mr. Fox. Then we grabbed our water bottles and butterfly nets and headed down the trail. We found so many butterflies, and we caught a few in our nets as well! We were very careful as we released them again and enjoyed watching them soar across the grass in search of more flowers. We had a peaceful lunch by the river, and then headed back to base camp, where we came up with our cabin code, read butterfly books, and enjoyed imaginative group play on the playground. We’re looking forward to catching more butterflies tomorrow and learning about the butterfly life cycle!
