Today was the Junior campers last day of insect week, and we had a great day! We started the day off at Morrison Nature Center with a sunscreen party and some morning camp songs. The Princess Pat has been one of the campers favorite songs this week! We then played a really fun game called Egg, Chicken, Dinosaur where the campers got to play lots of rounds of rock, paper scissors!
After lunch we went on a really fun hike in search of insects. We found many bugs including lady bugs and moths! It was really great looking at insect books, too. The campers then headed to Fletcher School to have some quiet time with stories and guitar playing. The campers had snack afterwards, and then it was time for our bug craft! The juniors made their own amazing bugs out of pipe cleaners and model magic; they came out great! We ended the day with some songs like the Donut Song and then went to the Green to end our day!
