The Juniors had a stellar day at Marshall Mesa! Because of the hot sun, we first put on sunscreen and drank some water before singing Little Spaceship and Get Loose. Toilet tag quickly became a camper favorite game; they even played it after sign out with some parents. Both groups hiked a little up the trail to find some shade. The Mockingjay Pins (pens) hunted for bugs while the Spider People built animal houses. One junior leader spied a snake from far away, and another found a praying mantis! Ed picked us up, and we headed back to base camp for stories, free play, playing in the water. We snacked on the Mockingjay Pins’ gorp, which everyone declared delicious. It was a super fun day and we’re all excited for pool and climbing tomorrow! Remember your towel and swimsuit!
