After riding the bus up to camp, we all got off the bus and circled up to sing songs and play a game. We sang “Boom Chicka Boom” and played “The Sun Shines On…” before putting on our sunscreen and heading up to Thunder Ridge to eat lunch. After lunch, we talked about birds in the Rocky Mountains and some ways for us to identify them. Then we used binoculars to get a closer look at birds flying in the sky or perched on a tree!
We continued to play at Thunder Ridge and made a “home” for Shockti. It was then time to take the bus back down to Boulder to eat snack and do a craft before reading a story and singing our “Meatball” song. We are excited for a shortened bus ride tomorrow to the Mesa Trail for a scavenger hunt!
