Our first day of camp was awesome! We sang a fabulous chorus of “Get Loose”, and played clothespin tag! Jasmine, one of our counselors, ended up with the most “pinnings”. Afterwards we split up in to our cabin groups, the “Stupendous Crystal Kookaburra Diamond Butterflies” and the “100% Chocolate Pumas”, and we played some name games and created our group code. Next we decorated our camp water bottles and had lunch outside (luckily we got a break from the weather!). Lunch was followed by a round of “Down by the Bay” and some free play where the campers found lots of interesting puddles. Afterwards we took out our bug catchers and headed to the west side of Base Camp, and we found earwigs, worms, several daddy long legs, and some huge rolly pollies! Our day ended with an excellent serving of GORP and some singing. Tomorrow we are off for an Altogether day in Eldorado Canyon!
