Today the juniors went to the Rocky Mountain Arsenal. When we arrived we had a big sun screen party and went right into songs and games. We sang “The Doughnut Song” and “Fire, Fire, Fire”, then played the game “Ship Island”.
The juniors broke away from the older kids and went on a great hike which ended with lunch back at the shelter. After lunch the kids went searching for butterfly’s with nets in hand but caught some moth’s instead.
By the end of our hunt we were ready to transition into our quiet time in the nature center where we read a story, came up with our group codes and sang our favorite closing song, “On Top of Spaghetti”. Tomorrow South Westerly Creek!!!
