Yet again, another fantastic day at camp! It was a little bit cooler up here today which made for a nice break from the heat. The campers are all in the swing of going to their activities and taking full advantage of rest hour.

Today in activities, we had culinary making beautiful pink pancake creations for first period. There were only three campers signed up for culinary so Zac and Logan brought the sprinkles out as a special treat.  The session ended with Jenna and Logan leading some “digestion” yoga. The boys all loved it and had a great time and wanted to sign up for culinary again.

Other activities today included frisbee golf for some of the Juniors in Sports, owl pellet dissections in Nature and Ecology, wet exits for our brave kayakers, trail rides for our Horseback Riders, line untangling in Fishing,  sailing the seven seas (aka one lake) in Sailing, scoping out Wyoming from the top of our wall in Rock Climbing, pressed flower clay art in Arts and Crafts, prince kidnapping in Dungeons and Dragons, moving and grooving in Dance, along with other memorable events in Culinary, Theater, Music, and Low Ropes.

Organized Free activities for the day include Rock Throwing, sports and games on the Field, Basketball, lanyard and friendship bracelet making at the Town Center, more music and board games in the Lodge, and slack-lining. This is always such a great way for the kids to take a much needed break from organized activities, meander around to whatever spot sounds great at the moment, and get some quality hangout time with campers of all different ages.

This evening we had a special ‘Extended Organized Free Time’.  Campers started by singing camp favorites like ‘Sloopy’ before getting some extra time in fort building, archery, lanyards and rock throwing.  Our Junior campers enjoyed making some s’mores, and everyone came together for a rendition of our closing evening song, ‘Lean On Me’.

Campers are snuggled up in bed resting up for another great day tomorrow!
