On Tuesday the Juniors spent a fun filled day at Rocky Mountain Arsenal! Luckily the rain held out and we had beautiful weather! We started the day with some all camp favorite songs including The Princess Pat and The Bumblebee Song! Then the juniors had a really fun craft of making colorful sponge bugs with pipe cleaners; they came out great! We got to do some exploring for bugs in the grass as well and found some ladybugs.
After lunch we went on a hike to a beautiful lake and got to float our sponge bugs. The bugs floated very well and we also discovered a crawfish by the water that the campers were super excited about. We ended the day in the Contact Station filled with many animal and prarie dog exhibits and an afternoon snack. We sang songs and then boarded the bus to the Green!
